UAE remains the main destination for tourism in the region. Over the year, visitor spending reached nearly $30 billion.

While leisure accounted for the largest share of travel and tourism spending, the share of business tourism in the UAE has grown significantly. This is driven by the country’s promotion as a leading venue for meetings, conferences and exhibitions.

From January to July, the number of foreign visitors arriving in Dubai alone almost tripled to 8.1 million (2.85 million a year ago).

The hotel sector, residential real estate, is constantly growing both in quantity and in price, as Dubai is increasingly opening up its borders and investing heavily in creating a large-scale and modern infrastructure.

In Dubai alone, the recovery has been huge, especially with the impact of EXPO 2020 making the city even more of a safe travel destination.
